Verify a change and recover with rollback
Read the execution record, retry verification, roll back the captured before-state, and confirm recovery.
Every supported CMS execution captures the previous value before a live write. SearchVoro then reads the target back and records whether the applied value matches.
When verification fails
- 1Open the execution record and inspect the connector, target, proposed value, write response, and read-back result.
- 2If the live value is uncertain, run Verify again.
- 3Choose Rollback to restore the captured before-state.
- 4Review the rollback response and the second live read.
- 5Treat rolledback with verified: true as confirmed recovery. Treat drifted, rollbackfailed, or an unverified response as a manual incident.
Do not repeatedly retry a drifted execution without inspecting the CMS. Another editor, plugin, theme, or API client may have changed the same field.
What rollback proves
A verified rollback proves that the captured field value was restored at read-back time. It does not prove a ranking, traffic, or citation outcome, and it is not a replacement for a full site backup.
